Four killed; fourteen injured in attack on Turkish aviation site

Turkish Interior Ministry has confirmed the deaths of four persons and fourteen others injured after a gunman raided the compound of a Turkish aviation site on Wednesday.

The aviation site which is situated near Ankara has been since  surrounded by police who neutralized two suspects in crossfires.

According to reports, Interior Minister, Ali Yerlikaya condemned the act, describing it as a ‘terrorist attack’  “Two terrorists were neutralised in the terror attack on the TUSAS Ankara Kahramankazan site. Sadly, we have 3 martyrs and 14 wounded in the attack,” Yerlikaya said.

CCTV footage captured a shooter firing in the building of the Turkish Aerospace Industries’ (TUSAS) headquarters.

TAI is a state-owned arms and aerospace technology firm located in Kahramankazan, about 17 miles (28km) north-west of Ankara.
