The Honeysuckle Pub and Restaurant in Labone, Accra, experienced a fire outbreak on Saturday, October 26, at approximately 5 p.m., impacting sections of the establishment.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded promptly, containing the flames primarily to the restaurant’s kitchen, thereby preventing extensive damage to other areas of the pub.
Officials from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) also joined efforts on-site, cutting power to the building to reduce the risk of reignition and secure the area for emergency responders.
Assistant Division Officer Alex King Nartey later addressed the incident on the Fire Service’s official Facebook page, praising the swift, coordinated efforts of GNFS and ECG teams in handling the emergency and ensuring public safety.
The prompt response has been acknowledged as instrumental in limiting the fire’s spread and securing the premises.
