The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that it will use 40,975 polling stations for the upcoming December 7, 2024, general elections.

This was confirmed in a press release dated October 10, signed by Deputy Chairman Samuel Tettey.

The number of polling stations for the 2024 elections reflects an increase of over 4,000 compared to the 2020 polls.

The EC has indicated that this expansion aims to improve voter access and ease congestion at voting centres.

This move is part of the EC’s efforts to ensure a smooth and efficient electoral process, with adequate facilities in place for the growing number of voters expected to participate in the elections.

“The Electoral Commission hereby publishes the list of all Polling Stations and Special Voting Centres for the 2024 General Election. The total number of Polling Stations is 40,975.”
