Leonardo DiCaprio was once named by Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs as his favorite party guest.
The rapper, currently behind bars for alleged involvement in sex trafficking, had previously mentioned the Titanic star as a frequent attendee of his famous White parties.
In a recent video circulating on X, Combs can be heard calling DiCaprio the “number one person” at his parties.
Several photos from 1998 and 1999 have also reemerged, showing the two together at a Hamptons mansion.
The rapper is known for his lavish parties attended by several biggies in the Hollywood and entertainment industry.
Amongst them is the most recent one in 2019 when Combs threw a lavish party on his 50th birthday.
The actor, however, has been staying away from Diddy. As reported by Daily Mail, the Oscar-winning actor has not been in touch with the music mogul for the past few years.
“Leonardo DiCaprio has absolutely nothing to do with any of this. He attended a few of his parties back in the early 2000s – but literally everyone did.”
A close aide explained that the parties Leonardo DiCaprio attended with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs were not wild “freak-offs” but large house gatherings.
At the time, DiCaprio was early in his career and has since moved past his party days. Sources close to the actor told RadarOnline that DiCaprio is keen to distance himself from the current scandal involving Diddy, as it threatens the image he’s carefully built as an environmental advocate.
He is reportedly uncomfortable with any mention of his past and his connection to Diddy’s parties, viewing it as a potential PR disaster. Like other celebrities linked to these events, DiCaprio is trying to avoid any association.
Pointing at the pictures of The Great Gatsby star and the rap artist, the source commenting on Dicaprio’s role argued that “for anyone to assume that he will get roped into this based on a few grainy photos” which is almost two decades old is ridiculous and clarified that “he has nothing to do with.”
Apart from DiCaprio other stars who have been regularly associated with Diddy’s parties are Jennifer Lopez, Ashton Kutcher, Jay-Z and Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Russell Brand, Kelly Osbourne Tommy Lee, Pamela Anderson, and Paris Hilton.
There have been no updates on the investigations involving celebrities connected to Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
However, it’s rumored that Leonardo DiCaprio wants to sever ties with Combs, who faces serious allegations.
The two had been seen together at high-profile events like the 2004 Democratic National Convention and an NBA All-Star game, with their friendship often in the spotlight. The last time they were seen together was in 2019.
