A netizen has blasted the government of Akufo-Addo Bawumia for abandoning John Mahama’s mobile Vans clinics termed ‘ONUADO’ vans to rot.
President John Dramani Mahama during his tenure as President of Ghana launched the Ministry of Health’s National Medical Outreach Services dubbed “ONUADO” which means “love your neighbor”.
The service was to cover communities in forty-three districts under phase one, he also inaugurated eight vehicles to be used for the program which has since been abandoned by the Akufo-Addo Bawumia administration.
Reports indicate all eight vans are rusting away at the Korle Bu hospital while healthcare delivery in rural areas remains poor.
A social media user has taken to his X page and had a go at the government for abandoning the ONUADO Vans, according to him, private entities are running the mobile clinics to save lives while the government we pay tax to has abandoned 8 Vans procured to serve people in the remote parts of the country.
He further went on to tag the government as demons for their actions.
See his post below:
Private entities are running mobile clinics to save lives yet the govn’t we pay tax to, has abandoned mobile clinics the erstwhile procured to serve people in the remotest parts of the country.
Funny thing is, unlike the specialized ones abandoned, these are improvised.
