Court rejects Bernard Mornah’s disqualification appeal

The Accra High Court on Monday October 21st , 2024 dismissed an application filed by the flagbearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC) Bernard Mornah, against the Electoral Commission on his disqualification from the presidential race of the December 7th elections.

Speaking with journalist after the disqualification, Mr. Mornah who look unpleased with the court’s declaration said, he will appeal with the Supreme Court.

‘’ I have instructed my lawyers that this case is not ending here, we will go to the supreme court, so that this matter would be determined’’.

According to him, the judge did not look at the issue very well before pronouncing judgement.

“If you run to court and you are talking about look alike signatures, lookalike signatures cannot be called several errors, they are defined”.

He however accused the Electoral Commission of not involving the political parties technical committee in the process.
