Reports suggest that there is confusion among members of Organised Labour as the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) and other notable unions have staged a walkout from Organised Labour’s meeting.

The Organised Labour was set to strike on Thursday, October 10, after the group expressed dissatisfaction with President Akufo-Addo’s response to their demands, despite his reaffirmed commitment to addressing the illegal mining issue.

Organized Labour has been urging the president to declare a state of emergency on illegal mining and implement long-term solutions to combat the menace.
