Social media user, Bongo Ideas, has critiqued the calling of some 777 lawyers to the Ghana bar.
According to him, Ghana has not had any impact from lawyers, whose only desire is to be politicians.
He asserts Ghana needs more doctors, engineers, technicians and thinkers and not “hese gown-wearing wannabe politicians who we are yet to see their impact! We joking!”
777 lawyers were called to the Bar on Friday, October 10, 2024 during a ceremony at the Accra International Conference Centre.
The ceremony, known in legal circles as the call to the bar, is not just a culmination of legal studies but also a testament to the grit, fortitude, dedication and hard work of those enrolled.
Calling 777 lawyers to the bar in a country like Ghana where we can’t fix basic dev’t issues gotta be a crime!
We need more doctors, engineers, technicians, thinkers…to get the job done, not these gown-wearing wannabe politicians who we are yet to see their impact!
