Blame the leaders not the players – Kwabena Owusu reacts to Black Stars’ draw against Sudan

Black Stars striker, Kwabena Owusu has urged Ghanaian to tone down on the criticisms of the players after the goalless draw game against Sudan in the ongoing 2024 African Cup of Nations.

Ghana’s qualification to the tournament in Morocco hit another road block following the draw against Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

Reacting to the defeat on his Instagram page, Kwabena Owusu said the problems affecting the team should be directed at the doorstep of leadership and not the players.

“I know people are frustrated and blame the players, the truth must be told, and the problem has to do with the leaders With all due respect,” Kwabena Owusu wrote.

The Black Stars have however, accumulated just a point in Group F after three games in the ongoing African Cup of Nations qualifiers ahead of the match day 4 games.

The return leg for Ghana’s game against Sudan will be played at Martyrs of February Stadium, Benghazi, Libya.
