A/Region: Youth storm Police station over arrest of colleague by cops

A group of angry youth from Kumasi-Asuyeboah in the Ashanti region stormed the Suame Police Station yesterday, demanding the release of officers involved in the arrest of a local young man, Obirisko, who was allegedly beaten by police and later died.

According to sources, Obirisko was arrested on Friday, October 18, 2024, on suspicion of selling marijuana.

However, his family claims they are unaware of the reasons behind his arrest. The youth are calling for a thorough investigation and justice for Obirisko.
