A 8 year old boy has accidentally shot his 12 year old brother, Mawuko to death at Twifo Ahyire in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District of the Central Region.

According to reports, the gun that the 8 year old boy used belongs to their father, Samuel Hegbige who is a hunter.

Reports says, Samuel Hegbige left the gun carelessly upon returning from the farm and the 8 year old boy mistakenly pulled the trigger of the gun which led to the death of his elder brother, Mawuko in a playful interaction.

Police intervention has led to the arrest of Samuel Hegbige to assist them with further investigation.

The 8 year old boy was taken into police custody and later handed back to family care.
