The Osu Traditional Council claims that the developers are encroaching on Osu stool lands allocated to the government not for private sale.

These lands, they explained, were originally allocated to the government for the expansion of the University of Ghana.

In addition, the council urged the authorities of the University of Ghana to halt the leasing and sale of lands in the area originally granted for educational purposes, insisting that such transactions are unlawful.

Speaking to Yawa News, the leader of the group, Nii Nortey Adumuah, who doubles as the Osiahene of the Osu Stool, indicated that the Osu traditional council is committed to fight and protect all lands belonging to the traditional council.
