Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popular known as Chairman Wontumi, has called out retired Commissioner of Police (COP) Nathan Kofi Boakye for lobbying for IGP position in an NPP government.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP stated, “You were lobbying for the IGP position in an NPP government, and today you are the one training NDC mercenaries to perpetrate violence”.

Many Ghanaians, including some security experts at the time were canvassing for him ascend to the post of IGP to replace James Oppong-Bonuah who was subsequently replace by IGP Dampare.
