A young Galamsey worker has challenged the ruling government to create jobs to put a stop to the galamsey menace.

He urged the government to provide better job opportunities for the youth in these areas.

In a viral video, he promised that if sustainable alternatives were made available, many would willingly abandon galamsey that they currently rely on for survival.

The young man delivered his message in a rendition of King Paluta’s hit song. “Government comes and they go, but if there’s no job, Gala goes on. Somebody tell the government there’s no job. If jobs are created today, Gala will stop,” he sang.
