An unidentified man, argues that giving Former President John Dramani Mahama the chance to return as Ghana’s president after the December 2024 polls will only spell doom for country.
In a video which has since gone viral on X, the man can be seen vehemently advising fellow passengers in a public transport ‘trotro’ to avoid making a mistake by voting for John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming elections.
“It will not auger well for the country should he (John Mahama) return as president. I am extremely worried about the younger ones,” he said pointing at a young person in the bus.
“Are you bringing him back (John Mahama)? He has no plans for the country and is even fighting over state property. He is only interested in state capture and do you think such a persons has the nation’s interest at heart,” he queried.
According to hum, the former president is enjoying ex-gratia and other benefits from the state, all paid to him from the tax payer’s pockets. He described the former president as greedy for wanting to be the president of Ghana once more.
“They always say the Akufo-Addo government is corrupt and I can say for a fact that everyone is corrupt, but the people in the Akufo-Addo led government have achieved so much for Ghana regardless,” he added.
To him, the legacies being touted by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) under the erstwhile John Mahama government should rather be credited to the late President John Evans Attah Mills.
