The vice chairman of the Bawumia 2024 Campaign team, Nana Akomea has reacted to Ghana police handling of some demonstrators of the Democracy Hub.
Nana Akomea noted that the protesters would have been shot if they tried that in the UK of USA.
According to John Hopkins post read by Nana Akomea, he said, “I have followed keenly, the happenings in Ghana in regard to the arrest of some Protesters, I think Ghana Police are more professional than the police here in the UK and in the USA. Here you can push down the police barricades, attack them and take their car key and still be alive they will shoot you”.
The STC boss further added that, in United Kingdom people have been jailed 5 years for just blocking the road.
Nana Akomea added the Police in Ghana really needs to be commended for the level of tolerance they showed on that day. “Whatever you say the conduct of the Ghana police on that occasion, at the provocation, the Ghana Police has shot people in the eyes, thrown hot water on people and done all kinds of things that come nowhere near this provocation”. He reiterated.
