Pastor and the founder of Alabaster International Ministries, Kofi Oduro has claimed the government has never initiated any fight against galamsey.
According to the Pastor, Ghanaians have only been sold false hope by the government.
Addressing his congregation, the Pastor emphatically stated, “In my little research I have done as your pastor standing here, there has never been any fight against galamsey. Never, wicked people are looting this miserable nation.”
“Peace is only a voice in the wilderness crying, warning you because judgement is resting upon your head until you repent. If you do not repent, you will die like dogs and goats which do not belong to anybody. I am telling you, never has there been any fight against galasmey,” he added.
Citing a report from China’s ambassador to Ghana which indicated that Ghanaians are to blame for the effects of illegal mining, he again laid the blame on Ghanaians for the nation’s current woes.
Ghana is losing the fight against galamsey as the country has recorded an all-time high destruction of water bodies and forests. The fight against galasmey has become especially difficult as there have been reports of politicians, chiefs and some influential persons in society being involved in the menace.
