The success of the senior national team, Black Stars has been tied to the former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

According to former Chief Drummer of the Black Stars, Joseph Langabel the Black Stars can only enjoy football success if the current GFA administration apologize and seek forgiveness from the disgraced former GFA capo.

Speaking to TV3, Langabel said the embattled former GFA president had great plans for Ghana football, and had already elevated the nation’s football but, some selfish people chose to disgrace him for their own good.

“If we don’t beg Kwesi Nyantakyi, then we should forget about the success of our football. Since that cartel conspired to remove Kwesi Nyantakyi, has Ghana football experienced any success?

“People made up their minds to destroy the man, and since he left, we’ve been struggling. In the last three AFCONs, the Black Stars have tasted no success,” he said.

Kwesi Nyantakyi disgracefully left the GFA in 2018 after the release of number 12 documentary by Anas Aremeyaw Anas which implicated him (Nyantakyi) in corrupt dealings.

He was subsequently banned by FIFA on the grounds of breaching the code of ethics of the world football governing body.
