Kofi Adams the Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency

Kofi Adams the Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency has said only one or two presidential candidates has won an election from the number one position.

Speaking on JoyNews’ Newsfile on September 21, he said, “so far it is only I think only one or two persons who have occupied the number one position and won an election from 1992 through to 2020”.

The Buem MP noted all the eight elections minus the runoffs only one or two have occupied number one slot and won.  He added that the first ballot in 1992 were at the time people didn’t know the party symbols President Jerry John Rawlings didn’t win from the number one position.

“Balloting I always believe that the position you find yourself truly doesn’t matter, because we had person who have occupied number slot and have lost elections miserably”. Kofi Adam said.

Kofi Adams further reiterated the NDC is comfortable with their position on the ballot sheet and their main concern in the 2024 election has always been transparency.
