Ghanaian media personality and broadcast journalist, Paul Adom-Otchere, has connected Activist and leader of Democracy Hub, Oliver Baker Vormawor’s political stance and actions with former president John Mahama’s administration.

Discussing Vormawor’s arrest following a protest organized by his group over the weekend on his prime current affairs show, Good Evening Ghana, he noted that Barker-Vormawor is connected to Mahama’s administration.

Referring to a letter dated March 29, 2013, issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to President Mahama, it is suggested that Vormawor’s actions are motivated by personal interests rather than being in the best interest of the country, as some may believe.

“So Dr. Atuguba when he was secretary to the president Mahama wrote to the ministry of foreign affairs to bring Oliver Vormawor to come and work in his office. My concern is that Vormawor knows Atuguba very well why didn’t they tell us? Why didn’t Vormawor in all his public expressions tell us that I used to work in president Mahama’s office so I know him well” he asked.

Paul views Vormawor as being dishonest and firmly believes that he should have been transparent about his connections with the former president and his secretary, as well as his collaboration with them.

“Because you are carrying out a public campaign, you’re carrying out fix the country campaign, so you don’t just sit in England and type fix the country on the social media and people jump to it. You should have told us that you were part of the old government, that you were a Foreign Service Officer and you were asked to come and work in President Mahama’s office” he emphasized.

Although Paul supports Vormawor’s cause to fix the country he does not agree with him being dishonest about his affliction with the opposition and strongly believes that he has a political background and might be politically biased as well.
