A manhunt is underway for Oliver Vormawor, a leader of the Democracy Hub group.

Oliver is wanted for his involvement in law breaching acts during the protest at the 37 round about yesterday, Saturday 21st September, 2024.

In a statement, the police confirmed that a manhunt is underway to apprehend Vormawor and others involved in acts of lawlessness, which included blocking roads, toppling police barriers, and obstructing traffic.

The anti-galamsey (illegal mining) demonstration turned salty yesterday, and demonstrators had a standoff with police officers, with demonstrators also burning paraphernalia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) which did not sit well with many.

In a viral video, Vormawor was seen removinOliver Barker-Vormaworg a key from a police vehicle and throwing it away before fleeing the scene. Another video showed him toppling police barricades without any provocation.
