Speaking to the media after submitting the nomination forms on behalf of the party’s flagbearer, Mr. Asiedu Nketia mentioned that if the Electoral Commission (EC) fails to oversee the audit, the NDC will move forward with the demonstration to press home their demands.

He stated that the NDC, in collaboration with other political parties and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) advocating for transparent elections, will descend on the offices of the EC in all sixteen regional capitals.

“In Accra, we will gather at the EC headquarters to present additional petitions, emphasizing the need for the EC to act in a manner that ensures free, fair, and peaceful elections” he said.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia urged all party supporters to prepare for what he described as “the mother of all demonstrations,” stressing that the NDC’s call for free and fair elections is not a favor but a responsibility the EC is paid to uphold.
