My husband’s motivation for running for presidency is not to gain financially- Samira Bawumia

Second Lady Samira Bawumia has disclosed that her husband’s intentions for running for president is not to gain personally but rather to serve the nation.

In an engagement with some traders and residents of Adeiso in the Eastern region, as part of her campaign visit in the area, she encouraged them to vote and support her husband as the future president of the nation. 

She urged the traders to remember President Akufo-Addo’s good accomplishments and vote for Dr. Bawumia to continue what his boss has accomplished.

The Second Lady emphasized that her husband has better policies that will help transform the country, hence the need for them to vote for him and the NPP to stay in office.

She believes that God will continue to be good to the party see them through the upcoming general elections.

She implored the traders that a new NPP government under Dr. Bawumia will address the challenges they face in accessing funds and also mentioned her husband’s commitment to making access to capital easier for traders as well as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Samira Bawumia added that the new NPP government will implement policies that will support businesses, including a Women’s Trade Empowerment Fund and an SME bank.

Mr. Fredrick Afom Obeng, the parliamentary candidate also added that NPP government has embarked on several projects on which the constituency has had its fair share therefore, encouraging the traders to vote for the party so they can break the 8-year-jinx and continue with the initiatives they have.
