Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, has assured the people of Sege of constructing a mini harbour and a sea defense if elected on December 7 as Ghana next president.
Speaking at a gathering of Chiefs, traditional leaders, and residents of Sege, Bawumia said his promise is aimed at addressing the devastating impact of tidal wave in Sege and surrounding areas over the years.
“We need a mini-harbour. So, we are going to work on bringing a mini harbour to Sege here for you and that is a very important thing. And then, of course, very important, we need to do the sea defence for this area.
Bawumia stressed that constructing a mini harbour would be a critical step in improving the fishing industry in Sege, facilitating better trade and market access for fishermen and traders.
