Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has pledged to reintroduce automatic postings for nursing trainees after completion of their training.
This promise seeks to address the issue of unemployment amongst graduates of nursing training institutions in the country.
According to him, the automatic postings will let nursing trainee graduates get jobs as quickly as possible after completion of their training.
Speaking to nursing trainees at Ntotronso in the Ahafo Region, he emphasized that all first year students who would be enrolled in nursing training colleges will not pay school fees in the first year.
“The next NDC government will also build more hospitals across the country to suit your postings to prevent frustrations for not getting a job after training”.
John Mahama urged the students to vote for change in the upcoming general elections.
