This will include an audit of the La Homowo festival, revenue from the Administrator of Stool Lands, and several illegal land transactions, notably the Blay Labadi Beach Hotel beachfront land and properties in Cantonments Civil Aviation.

On September 26, 2024, the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, suspended the operations of the La Traditional Council.

This decision aims to implement necessary measures for the Council’s effective functioning.

As a result of the suspension, all government institutions have been instructed to avoid engaging with anyone claiming to represent the La Traditional Council. Additionally, all matters concerning Paramount Stool Land will be suspended until further notice or until a new La Mantse is installed, as outlined in Section 45 of the relevant regulations.

A new communiqué indicates that an audit will be conducted to review all activities following the death of the late La Mantse on February 5, 2019.

This audit will also include several institutions, such as the East La Dadekotopon Development Trust, Laboma Beach, and the Labadi Beach Resort.
