The vice presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) has been described as a baby Christian, with little understanding of the religion.
Chairman of the Youth Working Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Okai Mintah, made this comment in response to NAPO’s statement, “even God sleeps and likely to sleep on a 24-hour night shift”.
According to Mr.Mintah, NAPO is not a devote Christian, and only joined the Christian religion as a results of political expediency.
“Napo is not a devout Christian. His lack of understanding of biblical teachings is why he does not realize that God does not sleep.
“As a Christian trained by the Pentecost Church, I know that our Lord never sleeps but keeps watch over us, even when we are asleep,” he stated.
Mr. Mintah indicated that in an attempt to ridicule the brilliant 24 hour economy proposed by the NDC government, NAPO only succeeded in displaying his ignorance revealing his true intentions for claiming Christianity.
