The former president, John Dramani Mahama has disclosed how he was looking forward to retire after he handed over to Akufo Addo and become a statesman.

However, he has decided to seek reelection because he knows and has seen the extent to which the Akufo-Addo government has destroyed the economy and the debt they’ve put on the country and wants to help fix it.

“I know it is going to be a difficult job for us. I was looking forward to retirement after I handed over to Akufo-Addo. I thought I was going to relax and be a statesman but I will be a selfish person if I see the extent to which they have destroyed this country when I have the experience, the knowledge and the integrity to turn things around” he noted.
