Lecturer at Pentecost University and seasoned political analyst, Dr. Christopher Ampadu has lashed out at Ghana’s top two political parties, the ruling NPP party and the opposition NDC party.

He voiced his disapproval at the rival parties accusing them of failing to provide viable solutions for Ghana’s problems.

In a recent interview, he added his frustration to the recurring menace, Galamsey. He said, “These two major political are in a blame game range about who is the cause of the Galamsey. One party says the other ruined our water bodies with the menace and the other is saying the rival did it worse than they did. What are they telling us?”

He questions whether the ruling government, irrespective of its political affiliation, genuinely considers the needs of ordinary Ghanaians.

“That is not the issue. The issue is who is the ruling government who has been entrusted with our resources to govern the country to good heights. Do they even think about us, common Ghanaians?” he added.

This adds to the plight of the ordinary Ghanaian on the adverse implications of Galamsey. Meanwhile, government officials and stakeholders continue to engage in “loose talks” and blame games rather than find a resolute cause to address the menace.
