I dare whoever recorded the video to own up – Napo’s aide throws ‘challenge’ over viral “excavator” video

Aide to Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) running mate, Fiifi Boafo, has thrown a challenge to the individual who recorded the viral video of Napo promising to return all seized excavators to own up.

According to him, the video and voice were tempered with and called for the person to provide the complete footage as evidence.

In an interview on an Accra based radio station he argued that, the video is a calculated attempt to tarnish the reputation of Napo hence the challenge.

“When I saw the Tiktok video, I asked the media team if anyone recorded or heard Dr Prempeh say that but they said no. So I dare the person who can confidently say he or she recorded it to own up.

“Because the viral video is not a representation of what Dr. Prempeh said. The 20-minute full video we have does not contain that statement,” he said.

Mr Boafo also added that, the NPP is committed to responsible mining under strict regulations to protect the environment.
