Member of National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Manifesto Committee, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, says Ghana’s current economic situation under the ruling government is horrible.

According to him, the country’s current public debt stands at GHC740 billion, a GHC614 billion increase from the GhC126 billion the NDC handed over to them in 2016.

He argue this increase in debt is evidence of the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) failure in managing the country’s economy, adversely affecting investor confidence.
