An aggrieved Ghanaian has voiced out his frustration stating that “Ghana is led by demons, not fools”.

This statement rides on the back off the unprecedented pollution of water bodies in the country, as a result of the galamsey menace.

This sentiment stems from the fact that government efforts in combating the menace is failing, coupled by claims of government officials involvement in galamsey activities, and corruption.

Also, economic mismanagement, and a sense of hopelessness that many feel under the current government, has been a cause for concern.

Critics argue that despite having ample resources, the government has failed to deliver meaningful socio-economic development, leading to increasing despair among the populace.

This expression likely exaggerates to emphasize the perceived severity of the situation.

Comparing Ghana’ to South Africa, the X post said, “River Vaal (South Africa). They also mine for gold….????. Ghana is led by demons not fools.

Another said, “At this point the prez should have declared a state of emergency because of the state of our water bodies. But we are seeing the usual misplaced priorities. Only civil war against galamsy can stop it.
