Father of Funny Face’s ex-wife, has divulged that Funny Face ‘stole’ his daughter, Vanessa from him even before he got to know of her relationship with the actor.
In an interview with ZionFelix, he revealed that his daughter never informed him about Funny Face from the start, nor did she inform him she was leaving home to go stay with him when they had not yet married, to the extent of getting pregnant for the actor.
According to him, Funny Face causing his daughter to come live with him when they had not yet married, in Akan culture can be termed as ‘stealing’. “I give birth to my daughter and you come to steal her. In the Akan culture, we can say he stole my daughter because there are protocols to follow and he didn’t follow them. I was with my daughter from the beginning but she never informed me when she was moving in with him because she had found a new love”.
However, when asked if he was not mad about it, he said, “She was in love. Love is the greatest thing and I was quite happy with that because everybody has to find love. She didn’t tell me she had found love but if you have a daughter who decides she loves something and decides to go after it, there’s nothing you can do about it. If you were restricted from going after what you want, you would’ve been pained”.
“I had to be civilized. I knew my daughter wasn’t going to die or do anything bad and she doesn’t relate with people disrespectfully. She’s a very smart girl so if she finds love, is that not right?…… but after you’ve had your way with her, this is how you treat her?” Vanessa’s father added.
He lamented on how Funny Face has disgraced his daughter in the public eye, noting that for someone that he once shared his nakedness with, it was never right for Funny Face to put Vanessa’s topic out there to encourage and attract such scrutiny from Ghanaians.
