The headmistress explained that while Konongo Wesley SHS is not an agricultural institute, the hard work of students, staff, farm managers, and herself has made this project possible. She added that this initiative supports the government’s “Planting for Food and Jobs” policy.

The project, launched by KOSMOS Innovative Center, Blueskies, and Mastercard, aims to teach students in various secondary schools about vegetable crop production.

Meanwhile, Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum revealed that the government, through the Free SHS policy, provides meals to a total of 1.4 million schoolchildren every day. He acknowledged that feeding such number of students daily presents challenges but noted that some headmasters are more proactive than others.
