The stadium, which was already used as the home venue of Legon Cities, will now have to make room for the other three teams.

Hearts of Oak will host Bechem United there this weekend, while Dreams FC will take on Kpando Heart of Lions. Accra Lions will also play their next match at the same venue.

The University of Ghana Stadium, which was recently renovated for the Accra African Games, has a seating capacity of 10,000. The government invested $34 million in upgrading the facility to meet international standards.

With the recent development, many argue the University of Ghana Stadium, the only good stadium in the country will eventually become like the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Accra Sports Stadium if care is not taken. Some also say the pressure on the field as a results of these four (4) using the stadium as their home grounds is not a good sign.
