There have been allegations of some form of rigging at the balloting for positions of Presidential Candidates on the ballot box.

An X post made by journalist Bridget Otoo suggests, the balloting process was not free and fair as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the Electoral Commission (EC) connived to secure the NPP the number 1 slot on the ballot paper.

In a video she quoted during the balloting, the NPP’s Director of Elections, Evans Nimako was seen picking two balls and later dropped one.

After picking the two numbers, an EC official was seen telling Mr. Nimako not to pick two balls but the NPP Director of Elections trying to teach the official his job.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) picked number 1 at the balloting for positions on the ballot paper at the Electoral Commission (EC) headquarters, the main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), drew the 8th position, while the All People’s Congress (APC) candidate, Hassan Abdulai Ayariga, secured the 9th spot.

Kofi Akpaloo of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) picked number 5, and Nana Akosua Frimpomaa of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) drew the 7th position.
