In a statement, the  management disclosed that the passenger involved has been handed over to the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) for further questioning.

GACL also reminded travelers not to carry batteries, as this breaches International Civil Aviation Regulations.

“Luggage containing prohibited items, including batteries, will be confiscated, and the owner reported to authorities” they indicated.

Management of GACL also expressed gratitude to passengers for their cooperation during the evacuation, stating that passenger safety is their highest priority.

Normal terminal operations have since resumed.
