The court order which was issued on  Wednesday 18th September 2024 prevents the group from embarking on their planned demonstration.

This action by the court follows concerns raised by the Ghana Police Service over the venue selected by the group for their demonstration, the frontage of the Jubilee House.

The demonstration by the group was planned for 21st to 23rd September 2024.

The group has however declared that it will resist any form of ‘oppression’ from the Ghana Police Service during its upcoming ‘StopGalamseyNow’ and ‘OccupyJulorbiHouse’ protest scheduled for September 21.

“The Ghana police is to protect properties and criminals for citizens of this country and protesters are not criminals and we send this caution to the Ghana Police we know they won’t agree to this and they will act upon that…”.

The Democracy Hub group warned the Ghana Police Service to do the right thing during a press conference on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.
