Supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate in Afigya Kwabre South are raising alarms over alleged neglect by the party, claiming it undermines their candidate’s chances ahead of the December elections.
At a press conference today, group leader Ayuba Osman expressed frustration, highlighting that constituency executives have yet to wear the candidate’s branded t-shirts and have received minimal resources for campaigning. Osman revealed that since the campaign began, only 140 t-shirts and a handful of flyers have been provided by Madam Betty Mould Iddrisu.
He contrasted this with the logistical support other constituencies receive daily from regional and national headquarters, suggesting a potential conspiracy against candidate Vivien Nyuzagla Nuzagl.
Osman further lamented that the only campaign vehicle available, an aging Mercedes saloon, has broken down, forcing Nuzagl to rely on public transport.
Meanwhile, he questioned the purpose of a new pickup truck donated to the constituency chairman, who reportedly uses it for personal errands.
Despite these setbacks, Osman remains optimistic, asserting that with proper logistical support, they can secure surprising votes and potentially flip the seat from the NPP.
He urged the party to provide necessary campaign resources to boost their efforts.
