Carnage: Infix bus crash kills 8 people, 42 injured

Devastating news as an Infixwood Limited Hyundai Aero Town minibus crashed into a timber truck on the Mim-Goaso road, resulting in the deaths of 8 individuals and injuries to 42 others.

The accident occurred around 5 a.m. as the minibus, which was transporting over 50 workers, attempted to overtake the timber truck.

According to reports, the driver of the minibus was unable to avoid the truck due to smoke emanating from it, which severely impaired his visibility. The collision was severe, leading to the tragic loss of life and numerous injuries.

The injured were initially taken to the Goaso Municipal Hospital, with those in critical condition being transferred to nearby facilities for more intensive care. The incident has cast a sombre shadow over Goaso, marking a tragic Black Friday for the community.
