During the Friday, September 27, 2024, episode of the show, Captain Smart emphatically claimed without providing proof that Dr. Bawumia, the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), was once a member of the NDC and should have contested for office on the party’s ticket.

“Bawumia still holds an NDC card. He should have contested on the ticket of the party; he would have won easily,” Captain Smart alleged.

He further clarified, “I don’t hate Bawumia; he’s a refined and intelligent young man.”

Smart explained that he first met Dr. Bawumia through Paul Ackah, the former Governor of the Bank of Ghana.

He also claimed that three cabinet members opposed Bawumia’s appointment during former President Kufuor’s administration because of his alleged affiliation with the NDC.

“And it’s true I can boldly confirm this,” Captain Smart added.
