This is according to a recent poll conducted by Outcomes International.

The poll, conducted between August and September 2023, interviewed thousands of registered voters across all 16 regions of Ghana. It indicates that Dr. Bawumia is poised to win in 11 regions, while Mahama is projected to lead in the remaining five. However, the race remains competitive, with 5.2% of respondents still undecided, and only 0.3% of voters indicating support for other candidates.

The poll underscores the intense nature of the race between the two leading candidates. While Dr. Bawumia is currently the frontrunner, the undecided votes could play a decisive role in the final outcome.

This election represents a key moment in Ghanaian politics, with Bawumia seeking to extend the NPP’s hold on power, while Mahama aims for a return to the presidency after unsuccessful bids in 2016 and 2020. Various polls have fluctuated over the months, but this latest survey gives Bawumia a narrow lead as the country heads toward election day.
