The global legal landscape, he noted, has shifted, making cross-border legal practice inevitable.

To remain relevant, African lawyers must rise to the challenge by providing innovative, cost-effective services and embracing the complexities of international law.

He therefore called for reforms in licensing regimes to allow lawyers to practice freely across borders, fostering a more integrated and harmonized legal system.

In his closing remarks,Mr. Dame reminded the audience of the social duty of lawyers, emphasizing the importance of pro bono work to bridge inequality and offer support to those who cannot afford legal representation.
