Owusu-Bempah, who is described as the nation’s prophet and has shared favorable predictions about the NPP is rumored to have gathered these other men of God to ensure the NPP’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia loses his presidential bid. It is said that the man of God seeks to do this because of neglect by the party.
Men of God implicated in this plot are Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, Founder of Action Chapel International and Rev. Dr. Stephen Wengam, the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God church.

Addressing the rumours in an interview on Okay FM, Owusu-Bempah emphatically stated that no such gang of men of God has been formed, adding he holds no grudges against the NPP and its flagbearer.

“Yesterday, I heard about it and some of my children shared the footage with me. It was discussed on a certain radio station that myself, Archbishop Duncan-Williams, and Rev. Wengam, the General Overseer of Assemblies of God, among other pastors, have met to plan against Bawumia.

When I heard it, I was very surprised because we hadn’t done such a thing. Rev. Wengam, I have heard his name but I haven’t even seen him before, and neither have I met him with the archbishop. They even said Mahama was part of the meeting, but we haven’t met before,” he said in his defence.

According to the man of God, Rev Victor Kusi Boateng who is purported to have found favour in the eyes
of Dr. Bawumia is not his enemy, and that he does not envy him in any way.

The man of God stated he was pained such unfounded rumours circulating in the media, as no one can even prove such a meeting happened.
