The protesters, who had gathered illegally at the 37 Intersection, were seen, according to the police, pushing down police crash barriers, obstructing traffic, causing unlawful damage, disturbing the peace, and attacking police officers as they carried out their official duties.

The police says it is on a manhunt for several others who were involved in the demonstration, and has pledged to make sure all culprits face the full force of the law.
