The Ministry of Education has revealed that a significant number of 104,918 students qualified candidates could not be matched to any of their choices in the recent Senior High School (SHS) placement results.
This announcement forms part of the 2024 SHS placement process, following the receipt of 563,339 results from the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
Among those results, 553,155 candidates qualified for placement, with 447,698 students representing 80.93% of the qualified candidates successfully placed in one of their selected schools.
For students who were not placed, the Ministry encourages them to utilize the Self-Placement platform to select a school of their choice.
Qualified candidates can check their placement status by visiting the official CSSPS website at cssps.gov.gh or cssps.org.
They need to enter their ten-digit index number followed by the year of completion (for example, 123456789024 for those completing in 2024) and click the “Submit” button to view their placement results.
Additionally, the public is informed that support is available at the National Solution Centre located at GNAT Hall, Adabraka, Accra, as well as at all 16 Regional Solution Centres.
