The presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has led a song on a campaign platform.
John Mahama noted that during the By-election in Assin North voters had to show their voter ID and were given 200 cedis notes to vote for NPP’s Charles Opoku.
According to John Mahama, he was at Assin North, and he saw this for himself.
Speaking on a campaign platform, John Mahama stated, “If you look at what happened at Assin North, Assin North I was not told I was there myself, when you show your voter card, then they will give you the new 200 cedis note, and when you show your voter card then they will give you 200 cedis”.
“Even though the people of Assin North took the money and they even sang with it, we have chopped Charles Opoku’s money, do you remember?”, he asked.
John Mahama further went on the lead a song saying, “I will sing the song, and you yourself will put yours there, I will not mention any name but put it there yourself, I did not mention any name”.
“When they bring the money take it and chop it, but when voting look at your living and vote well”, John Mahama added.
