President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has praised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as a loyal person after nearly working together for 20 years.
Speaking to the Chiefs and Opinion leaders in the Upper West Region Wa, he said, “In the nearly 20 years that I have been working with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, I have not had one day, one occasion to doubt his loyalty, to doubt his commitment to our common goal. And I have come here to ask you for your support to make Bawumia break the 8.
“I see that the former president is saying all kinds of things about the number 8 that he chose. That it means he is going to win. Breaking the 8 and having the number 8, that is not a good sign at all.”
President Akufo-Addo in his remarks, also criticized the opposition leader, John Dramani Mahama, he urged voters to choose Bawumia as the candidate who is capable of building on the progress the NPP has made.
